The Foundation builds AUH Forum

In Aarhus University Research Foundation, we are proud to be able to contribute to facilities that can pull parts of Aarhus University's clinical research even closer to treatment practice.

The AUH Forum will be a new landmark on Aarhus University Hospital, and it is co-financed by the foundation via the subsidiary AUFF Invest Forum. On Thursday 11 March, topping-out ceremony was held on the building, but only with limited participation due to Covid-19 restrictions.

The AUH Forum is based on a collaboration between several partners with a shared vision of creating Aarhus University Hospital's new multi-function house. The AUH Forum will accommodate a number of research units from the central Denmark Region and Aarhus University, a new Steno Diabetes Center Aarhus, facilities for the Danish national church and a patient hotel with approx. 60 rooms on the upper floors. Aarhus University Research Foundation has financed the research facilities for Aarhus University's researchers, while the rest of the building is financed by Central Denmark Region and municipality Leasing – and with a donation from Novo Nordisk Foundation to the establishment of the Steno Diabetes Center Aarhus.

With the AUH Forum, Aarhus University Hospital will have an eye-catching landmark. It will be a building of 22,800 sqm on 14 floors, and the building will be one of the hospital's five main arrival areas. The building will be taken into use in 2022.  You can see how the construction works and the future perspectives in this video from the AUH Forum (Danish speak).
