75th Anniversary Celebration

Saturday 31 August 2019 at 11:00-21:00

Nørrebrogade 44, 8000 Aarhus C

WE CELEBRATE RESEARCH WITH AN AWESOME ANNIVERSARY PARTY

This year the Aarhus University Research Foundation can celebrate its 75th anniversary supporting research at Aarhus University, and that calls for celebration! Therefore, we invite all Aarhus citizens to an awesome town fête on 31 august 11-21 by the former hospital buildings on Nørrebrogade, which are in the process of being transformed into the new University City. You can look forward to live concerts with great Danish musicians, interesting lectures by researchers from Folkeuniversitetet and guided tours of the former hospital basements.

NOTE: Registration for walking in the former hospital cellars can be found here:

THREE TRACKS

The day will be divided into three tracks, which together will stimulate the participants – while maintaining a clear connection to science:

LISTEN
During the day, great Danish musicians will perform live on stage. You can look forward to live concerts with Hjalmer, Niklas Runge, ESPICHICOQUE and many more.

LEARN
Folkeuniversitetet in Aarhus (People’s University) has asked a series of researchers to provide interesting insight into research on the future. E.g., you can learn more about space when Professor of Astrophysics Hans Kjeldsen enters the state or the crazy opportunities of biotechnology when Head of Department and Professor of Medical Genetics Thomas G. Jensen gives his lecture.

NB: There is an entry fee for the lectures. Each lecture costs just DKK 7.5, and there is a maximum number of 170 participants per lecture. Buy tickets here:
