Financial support for research related events at Hejmdal

The foundation receives applications on an ongoing basis. 

Applications regarding financial support must be submitted online through the following link: https://auff.grant.nu/profile. Inquiries and requests regarding the rental of Hejmdal must be sent through e-mail to: Hejmdal@universitetsbyen.dk.

Objective

Providing financial support for research related events, for instance konferences, PhD seminars, research group meetings and workshops, thus reducing the self-payment of the participants. The support amounts to 10.000 DKK and covers the renting of Hejmdal. The support does not cover expenses related to catering, which is mandatory and ordered by appointment with Aarhus University Research Foundation. Aarhus University Research Foundation has made a deal with selected catering suppliers which the conference organiser can choose from. 

Practical information and catering:

Hejmdal is able to accommodate between 20 and 100 people. The conference organiser is able to choose between various seating arrangements depending on the type of event. Hejmdal is equipped with AV and IT equipment as well as internet. Participants who register their license plate in Hejmdal may park in the storey car park on the opposite side of the road free of charge.

Catering is supplied by an extern catering supplier and is customised to fit the given type of event as well as its budget. Below is a sampling of what can be ordered: 

  • Breakfast (including coffee and tea).
  • Lunch buffet, lunch plate or sandwich (including water, soda or beer)
  • Afternoon tea/coffee (including cake). 
  • Dinner buffet or gourmet dinner (including water, soda, beer or wine as well as coffee and tea).

Depending on the nature of the event it is possible to choose between various packages, which are also customisable depending on the needs of the given event. Furthemore it is possible to choose between budget friendly and regular catering. 

Applicant

Application must be done by the person responsible for the event. Application entails having reserved Hejmdal ahead of time. Cancellation must take place one month before the event is to take place at the latest.
